Aurora, Half The World Away: Review

The melody starts with the speaker looking at needing a new beginning; she needs to leave this "old town" looking for something new. Her psyche has given "notice signs" to "leave this city" for reasons clarified later in the following stanza. The city has abandoned her depleted, along these lines once she leaves - if at any point - she will "book herself into a spirit haven" or a spot where she can shield her soul that may have been softened from staying up the "old town" for so long. In the second stanza, "scratching around the same old gap" demonstrates regardless she has not possessed the capacity to escape the landfill yet. Her body may feel youthful, yet her psyche feels old in light of the fact that the years have passed by without having the capacity to achieve some place past the limits of her town.
